Do you ever have days where you feel kind of hopeless like the whole world is against you? Everybody has bad days, but it can be super difficult having days where you feel super down when you also suffer from other issues like anxiety or self-harm. Personally, I have these days, where I feel awful and cold and numb like there’s no way to get past it. I sometime get jealous of my friends when I feel like this, you see them all laughing and smiling like they’re floating above you held up by bright balloons and grinning from ear to ear. You wish you could feel like that and although you know these feelings are quite temporary, in the moment you feel like you’ll never get over it. Like you’re stuck in the rain.
I also feel like I’m wasting good memories. Like having fun with your friends will be tainted by your mood so it’s no longer remembered as a happy memory, I should be savoring these memories and they should be making me feel happy but instead, the moments make me feel numb.
Although these days are difficult to manage you will get over it, trust me. It will all be alright. Some ways that I cope with bad days that you could try are:

Although these days are difficult to manage you will get over it, trust me. It will all be alright. Some ways that I cope with bad days that you could try are:
- Nurturing and taking care of yourself- take a bubble bath, snuggle up under blankets, drink hot drinks like tea, colour in, I personally like origami (I’m slowly making myself a dragon army :3), maybe write a list of things that make you happy, take a nap, relax, listen to music, read or play with pets.
- Be social- speak to a friend or family member, maybe ask them to go out somewhere and meet up with you, vent to them or write a message/ letter to them (you don’t even necessarily have to send it, but just the act of writing your feelings down can help you feel better).
- Move- go for a walk, get some fresh air, jump, run, even skip, dance around to music and be a little bit silly, or go to a park or somewhere with nature and try to appreciate and enjoy the world a little.
- Be creative- doodle, paint, make something, write, play an instrument or knit just do whatever you enjoy and find happiness in.
